CEISA: Reengineering Simulator

Learning Experience (LX) Design and interactive environment for operations consulting

In collaboration with Engineer Nicolás Brown, we developed an advanced training tool that translates Operations Research concepts into a realistic simulation environment. The project consisted of transforming a technical process reengineering case study into an interactive format, where professionals can diagnose problems and propose improvements within a digital corporate setting.

Role-Playing Dynamics and Realistic Interactions

Unlike purely mathematical simulation models, in CEISA we prioritized the human dimension of management. The user assumes the leadership of a Reengineering Department with the goal of reversing the company’s declining sales.

To achieve an immersive experience, we designed an interface that facilitates typical workplace interactions: students must engage in conversations with department managers and analyze technical reports to gather data. This role-playing approach ensures that learning is not only technical but also situational, forcing the user to filter information and manage internal communication.

UX for Learning Management

The platform design accounted for two distinct user profiles with specific needs:

  • Student Interface: Focused on exploration and data analysis for risk-free decision-making, encouraging experimentation with improvement models.
  • Administrator Panel: We designed a control panel for instructors to monitor each team’s progress in real-time. This visibility allows for agile supervision, identifying learning bottlenecks and ensuring a steady flow throughout the workshop.

This web-based simulator replaces passive theory with an active problem-solving methodology, establishing the interface as a strategic tool for executive and management training.
