Klaz: Scalable eCommerce

Design and development of a wholesale e-commerce platform

Klaz, a wholesale importer, needed a digital presence that could serve as an institutional catalog without—in its initial phase—enabling direct online sales. The challenge was to design a robust and professional platform capable of managing a high volume of stock and categories, while building an architecture that could scale into a full e-commerce site in the future without the need for a redesign.

WooCommerce as a Catalog Engine

We implemented WooCommerce in “Catalog Mode.” This strategic decision allowed us to leverage the platform’s powerful product management structure while adapting it to a lead-generation model. We designed a flow where users can explore detailed categories and products, facilitating direct contact for wholesale pre-sales.

With this technical architecture, the client saves initial effort by organizing their inventory under e-commerce standards. The system remains ready to activate payment gateways and shipping methods whenever the business model requires it, with just a simple configuration change.

Customization & Independent Management

We developed a custom WordPress theme, prioritizing performance and client autonomy. By avoiding bloated, generic templates, we achieved optimized loading times and a simplified administration interface. This ensures that team members without technical expertise can update products, images, and banners without the risk of breaking the design.

The project included a system for accessing tiered price lists and the management of downloadable PDF catalogs, integrating lead-capture tools for marketing campaigns. The result is a modern institutional site that functions as an efficient sales tool and provides a solid foundation for the brand’s positioning in the wholesale market.
